The Real Ale Soap Company has been launched - www.realalesoap.com

Wednesday, 9 May 2012 13:18:10 Europe/London

www.realalesoap.com has been launched and looks great. Over 20 Hand made soaps all made with

differenent ales. Take the Bar home and wash in beautuful Beer suds. Cheers.

Here is what Aster from www.realalesoap.com has to say about her new exciting Business:

We started creating beer soap as an appreciation of the fantastic qualities that real ale holds. Beer isn't just for drinking!

Beer contains hops, which are well known for their relaxing and skin conditioning properties. Hops also provide many other excellent skin benefits including soothing irritated skin and the polyphenols account for its anti-bacterial and preservative effects.

We use different beers for each soap, straight from the barrel to the bar. Dependent upon the beer that we use, the amounts and types of hops, malts, and fruits used when brewing the beer, the colour will differ and this creates a rainbow of natural shades of soap. The beer produces the creamiest lather and creates a small rich bubble which feels luxurious on the skin. All these properties are naturally found in beer! The alcohol from the beer does not remain in the soap after the soap making

process and the ‘beery’ scent is removed during curing leaving behind all the natural skin conditioning properties.

Our soaps are made with natural oils and butters such as Pure Olive oil, Unrefined Cocoa and Shea Butter and coconut oil. All products are vegan- friendly and we never test any ingredients on animals or use animal products. We use the highest quality essential and fragrance oils, which help to bring the unique characteristics of each beer.

Hop Bomb - Competition Winner

Monday, 12 December 2011 12:00:31 Europe/London

Peter Williams from Burntwood - Winner of the first Hop Bomb 'Tell us what you taste' competition.

The Winning description:

"Before I tasted - before I even read the bottle actually - I caught the familiar smell of Lychees. It hits the pallet with a softness like mineral water, the Lychees wash around the back of my tongue & a very subtle & gentle hoppy sweetness spreads from the centre to the tip of my tongue. For me there is an after-taste of roasted grapefruit! Sweet, not sharp. Such a surprise. Seriously... I'm not sure if its because I have a fondness for Lychees, but it is one of the most developed flavour sensations I've had from a beer! Absolutely love it... just wished the bottle was a bit bigger ;-) Got to get more tonight if they're still on the shelves "
